What We Collect

SpyderVPN operates under a zero-logs policy. We do not track your internet usage. The only data we collect:

Account details (email, subscription status, billing history).
Basic service metadata (non-identifiable) for debugging.
UUID (for Zero-Knowledge Accounts, used for support verification).

❌ Zero-Knowledge Accounts are fully anonymous and do not store personal information.

Zero-Knowledge Account Security

Zero-Knowledge Accounts provide maximum privacy, ensuring that no identifiable information is stored. However, this comes with additional responsibilities:

🔐 Your Account ID is your only access.
There is NO way to recover it if lost.
📝 Write it down and store it safely.
Treat your Account ID like a password.
❌ NEVER share your Account ID with anyone.
SpyderVPN will NEVER ask for it.
📌 Contact support using your UUID only.
When reaching out to support, provide your UUID (not your Account ID).

🔴 If you lose your Account ID, you will not be able to recover access to your SpyderVPN account.

Security & DNS Privacy

SpyderVPN employs multiple layers of security to protect your online activity:

How Our DNS Security Works

We operate a fully encrypted DNS stack to prevent tracking and leaks:

Pi-hole Ad Blocking: Blocks trackers, malware, and intrusive ads.

DNS-over-TLS to NextDNS: Ensures full encryption of outgoing DNS requests.

Web Analytics: Privacy-First

Unlike most companies using Google Analytics (which tracks users across the web), we use Plausible Analytics, a self-hosted, privacy-friendly alternative.

100% anonymized data—we don’t store IP addresses.

This allows us to measure website performance while respecting your privacy.

Warrant Canary & Transparency

In our commitment to full transparency, SpyderVPN publishes a warrant canary—a regularly updated, cryptographically signed statement that confirms we have not been served any secret warrants or subpoenas that compromise your privacy.

If you notice that our warrant canary is not updated or has been removed, it may indicate that we have received a legal request we are not permitted to disclose. For your reference, the signed warrant canary, along with our public GPG key, is available at our resources page.

This measure ensures that while we must comply with lawful orders, we remain as transparent as possible with our community.

Transactional Emails

We use SendGrid as our transactional email provider. SendGrid enables us to send you essential notifications such as account verification, password resets, and service updates.

To help ensure delivery and improve our communications, we use SendGrid's email tracking services. These services monitor when you click on links (served via links.spydervpn.com) within our emails.

If you need assistance, our support team is available. However, for Zero-Knowledge Accounts, support is limited to UUID verification only.
